After lunch we visit the Charles Darwin Research Center. Here we will get an insight into the studies that Darwin did, he came here for the first time in September 1835. Here we will have our first encounter with the giant turtles that can weigh up to 200kg. Today we are going on a walk to Tortuga bay It takes about 1 hour to walk from the hotel to the beach and we walk through the cactus forest on a nice path made of lava rocks. When we arrive we are met by a wonderful beautiful beach that we walk along and we arrive at an idyllic lagoon where there are opportunities for snorkeling. There are many sea iguanas that live here, they are peaceful animals so we will get many great pictures. The beach is also home to blue sole, pelicans and many other birds.
